Step by Step
1
Prepare the Lemons
Wash the lemons thoroughly. Cut them into quarters. For a less bitter taste, you may remove the seeds and some of the thick white pith, but it is not strictly necessary for this recipe.

2
Blend Lemon and Mint
In a powerful blender, combine the quartered lemons, fresh mint leaves, and granulated sugar. Add 1 cup of the cold water to help the blending process.

3
Process to a Smooth Puree
Blend the ingredients on high speed until a smooth, slightly frothy puree is formed. Ensure there are no large chunks of lemon or mint remaining, blending for about 2-3 minutes.

4
Strain the Mixture
Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher or bowl. Use the back of a spoon to press down on the solids, extracting as much liquid as possible. Discard the remaining pulp and solids.

5
Dilute and Adjust Sweetness
Add the remaining 3 cups of cold water to the strained lemon-mint concentrate. Stir well to combine. Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar if desired, stirring until it completely dissolves.

6
Add Optional Flavor and Chill
If you are using orange blossom water, stir in 1 teaspoon for an authentic Middle Eastern aroma. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld and enhance.
